What We Believe
We believe that the Scriptures are inspired by God, are are without error and infallible, containing His complete revelation through the Holy Spirit.
We believe that God exists in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are One God, and share the same essence and purpose.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal, only begotten Son of the Father. Conceived by the Holy Spirit, he was born of the virgin Mary, and lived as both fully human and fully God. He was put to death on a cross to atone for our sins, and raised to life three days later.
He will return in glory to Judge the living and the dead.
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, to be in perfect relationship with Him. Through our free-will choice to sin, we now have a fallen nature, and can only be redeemed through sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
We believe that all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord have the assurance of salvation. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is available to all believers, and is first evidenced in the gift of Tongues. The Gifts of the Sprit are given by God to the believer, in order to further the work of His church, and still in operation. We also believe that prayer for divine healing should be encouraged.
We believe that all who profess Christ are part of the universal church, regardless of denomination.
We believe in the practice of the Lord's Supper, or Communion, to be observed to mark Christ's death.
We believe in the importance of water Baptism for the sincere believer, to identify with the death and resurrection of Christ.
