The Holy Spirit. This Is Love. (Part 3)

March 1, 2020

Rev. Michael J. Lee

Hard to get around the idea that abiding in Christ – Bearing fruit is optional. Jesus died to conquer the power of sin in our lives. To think repentance doesn’t mean a changed relationship with our sin is missing the point of Jesus death and the deposit of the Holy Spirit within us.

Ever feel like just keeping your nose out of other people’s business? The Apostle Paul could have done that… but something powerful happens in this short letter to Philemon. Imagine being removed from the security of your home and religious instruction at a young age and moved to another land and culture. What Hinges On A Confession Of Faith? Peter

January 12, 2020

Rev. Michael J. Lee

John the Baptist confession, Behold the Lamb impacts Andrew.  Andrew’s confession to his brother Simon, I have found the Messiah, come follow me, impacts Simon. Jesus seeing Simon and changing his name to Cephas (Rock), sets something in motion in Peter’s life. Peter was anything but a rock when Jesus changed his name, but God saw Peter for what he would become because of the grace of God, not what he was.

Rev. Michael J. Lee

Glories stream from Heaven afar. Radiant beams from thy Holy face with the dawn of redeeming Grace.
These verses from this classic Christmas hymn are the inspiration for my study of a woman named Rahab.
